My 2014 coupe has recently started steaming up on cold wet days. Usually a sign of dampness somewhere.

I found that after standing in the rain overnight that there is water drops on the boot carpet, either side in the area of the boot light. It’s not soaked but it’s also not obvious where it’s coming from.

Anyone had similar or got any pointers to look at?

I get a significant amount of condensation on the inside of the rear window, also occasionally on the inside of the windscreen. I’ve not had this with other cars and cannot work out what’s causing it and have put a couple of “ Pingi Reusable Car Dehumidifier “ in the car to try and stop / reduce it.

The boot appears to be dry.

That’s some leak.

I was getting irritated by constantly having to wipe the condensation from the insides of the windows when it hadn’t been driven but a minor inconvenience by comparison.

Had the car been driven or is that all whilst stationary?

I think I’d be checking the seal around the glass in the tailgate and also round the rubber that runs along the channels around the tailgate.

Hope you find the source of the problem.

No that was after standing overnight and all morning. It doesn’t show well on the photo, but the carpet is wet both sides.

From the last photo it looks as if the parcel shelf is in place, if so, is that wet?

I suggest an hose test with kitchen towels all the way round inside to see where gets wet first.

The problem with water leaks is they can originate away from where the problem shows.

Parcel shelf is dry. The water is dripping from the louvres on the underside of the side trim (photo)

I think I’m going to have to remove some trim to find this one.
