You tell me : I am not familiar with the database presented .
Nor am I, which is why I asked the question. ;)

One cannot look at these and say "dated".
The E-Type, with its skinny tyres not dated? We'll have to agree to disagree about that one! :D

@santoshlv426___ I agree. The first model was the best [exterior].
But the LED headlights are an improvement over the Xenon.

@ Dan,
Can't argue with that - I also like the LED headlights.
@ scm. The tires (I guess one can pick any single part of the car and it's dated), but we're talking about the design in it's overall context.
Take the Testarossa or Muchilago - the interior's are way dated.
But these design's will always be timeless

I have to admit that the Eagle implementation of the E-Type looks pretty fantastic. :)

Had to take mine in today for a little work, snapped these quickly, actually think it looks quite good, but that bonnet line seems to go forever and the downward curve each end seems to be the bit that jars with me.

Under some angles the new looks are passable, generally when looking down on the front , not head on.
In particular the head-on appearance is ghastly, breathtakingly ugly. I would never have bought this car ever.

To bad to 'end this way' . Under the squeeze of BREXIT, CORONA and ICE-hysteria I predict the cutting of
several product lines. The F-Type and XF will go soon alike the E-Pace. Consolidation in the face of oblivion.

The new XJ will replace XJ/XF lines and the XE will the 'other' saloon. Maybe a 2+2 based on the XJ platform
in 2025 or so. But the production of the F-Type will seize before autumn.

Personally, I think some of the biggest cosmetic changes on cars in recent years is the development of LED lights, both front and rear, that have allowed designers to come up with shapes and designs not previously possible.

This has made the current headlights in my 2014 look dated and so I agree they needed modernising. I've seen newer model years that keep the same shape but have new internals, I guess they are Xenon's and this has modernised the look and for me, works well.

I think the latest lights with their ice cube internals look fantastic on their own. My only issue is that when on the car they seem to pull down the front corners losing the traditional aggresive stance. It's not ugly, just not quite right.

Just my view.
