I'll have to see it in person for a final judgement of the front end. Market it as a new F-type is wrong.
On the other hand i do really like a lot of things.
Great sculptured hood & vents
Nice side grille design
Lovely front grille
black leaper/logo's
Nice wheels available although I'm not a fan of directional wheel designs
If I look at my left and see the rear end of my car it actually looks dated to what I see on my screen...
I like tech so the all digital instrument cluster is a great improvement for me as are the small details like the door panel pattern.
New F-Type Reveal on Monday
One thing is for sure - the new face certainly won't grow on me over time. It looks far too generic now and has lost it's character and the fact that it was unique in the Jaguar range. Its face looked like no other and you could spot an F-Type from far off. To go back to my comment yesterday about the new car pulling up behind you at traffic lights - you'll confuse it with a basic Jaguar saloon and that issue won't change in a few years ahead.

No bar in the grille.
Many colours to choose.
What I don’t like:
Rim choices.
New rear design.
Rear painted SVR diffuser.
Rear badging placement.
Front lights look like the XE.
Front bumper looks like the XE for non R versions.
2016 F-type R AWD coupe. Italian Racing Red.

The whole marketing is absurd. You can choose either a P300 or a larger engine. This limits all other choises.
Go for a large engine and you get the stupid 'boy-racer' side skirts, or you have to choose the introduction model,
with hidious wheels and 3 basic boring colours, like its an entry level 'business model' ...
The first thing they have to do is : make all engines and options and body shapes available throughout the range.
The second thing is : make it possible to order the 'old' nose. Seriously ; how difficult can that be ?
They stock and make those parts for the next 20yrs [ by EU law..] , the only thing they have to do
is to bolt them on a body...
I would not be surprised at all if there will be 'aftermarket' conversion kits or even tuners [ Hamann? ],
that will offer this as a service.
They stack marketing nightmare on nightmare, cancelling widely advertised novelties [ GoPro ReRun app],
at will, increase /decrease guaranty programs as standard or option... .. how much more can the brand take
before the last client walks away ?
ReRun was world wide advertised, costing millions. One of the ads :
The service was aborted since GoPro were bound to provide an app, costs 10k(?) to develop.
The app was in the testing fase and already had been available on googleplay. Removed after billing issues I suppose,
since GoPro was about to go bust due to cheap chinses action cams flooding the market.

Some great comments on here - very interesting reading!
Simple R and Dan Veluwe...love it!
I can’t speak for all but I paid a lot of money for my ‘old’ SVR. At that sort of money, you buy a car because of emotion...it isn’t about getting from A to B...it’s about how it makes you feel when you go from A to B.
My SVR was great, lovely Ultra Blue, fab quality interior etc but I was initially attracted to it because is connected with me, emotionally.
I’m afraid the new one doesn’t- simple as...I’m hoping Jaguar are going to bring out a new beastie in the coming years and I’ll come running back.

I also cannot understand how if they can fit the V8, why they cannot just as easily fit the V6? Isn't it a similar unit just with 2 cylinders less? It cannot be space under the bonnet.

Supply of V6 in their contract with Ford is probably limited. Plenty of V8 to move left since all JLR V8's wil go hybrid into lower engine capacities as well..
the straight six seems 10"to long, simply solved with a 'nose-job'...
