Has anybody fitted a Merryway Android media unit?

There are a few "definitive" threads about them on the US forum. Mixed impressions, as far as I can tell.

Yes I have seen them, that's why I wondered if there was any first hand experience on here

I've not fitted the Merryway but have to admit to being part of the fad. I fitted an XCarlink recently as I usually use Google Maps and found the phone holder solution unsatisfactory. I used the XCarlink system as I wanted to retain the original look of car and make it easily removable. It's expensive but works well and corrects the one major flaw (for me anyway) in the car.

It does work well. It supports full Android auto. I bought it in the UK and got Xcarlink to confirm the version was correct for my MY before purchase. I installed it myself with no problems.

Yep... No loss there as it was pants. It still had 2011 maps in it. Wanted to send you off down side roads for traffic jams that had cleared 30 minutes ago etc etc....
