Hi, I have purchased an x car link system to put car play etc into my 2014 car with gen3 system. A search has bought up multiple threads, so to capture all.
Has any body fitted this system and are there any pointers I should look out for. Xcarlink claim plug and play, can it be that easy? Cheers

I did this a couple of months ago. It is relatively simple.

Important things to remember are the hardware installation is straight forward but it is the configuration that took the time,

I posted images of the config screens that worked for me.

Use a good quality USB cable to avoid interference either genuine OEM or recognised brand such as Anker.
