Thanks for giving me your life story

Maybe something constructive next time you decide to post instead of being supercilious and condescending..

The indicated average mpg always stayed around the 30mpg mark, with the fuel light coming on at something like 400 miles Constant motorway driving is a little bit more economical, according to the 140 miles to Gaydon last week, but probably only adds say another 30-40 miles or so to the tank range. I'd put the range at somewhere between 400-450 miles for when you're looking for fuel.

Thanks Mick

Just the kind of info I was looking for

Cheers

My V6 S has averaged 27 mpg over 22000 miles driving motorways, country roads, etc., So given a tank of 70 litres = 15.4 imperial gallons you should expect to see some 400 miles per tank with a little to spare
The very best mileage was 45 on a motorway at 55 mph,

Thanks for that

I’m think them 400-450 is the distance I should aim for and maybe 500 is a stretch too far even if you “try your hardest”

Do you do mostly short journeys? Cold starts really kill fuel economy.

I get over 20 mpg on a crappy 6 mile commute..... 16 sounds particularly bad.

Could be all academic now as the virus madness kicks in across europe.

My commute is about 9 miles each way but usually in some stop start traffic but not all the way there.

I’ve got about 3 weeks and counting from my last tank and usually spend about £70 a week - but I’d rather not have seen these savings.
