What’s the maximum tank range for the V6
Would 500 miles be realistic on a euro trip keeping within the speed limits ?
V6 tank range
Using the optimistic combined cycle figures you’d get 464 miles from full to tank dry, I’d guess 400miles between fills would still be still be a little optimistic but it depends how anxious you get when the low fuel light comes on!
Hmm
Ok
I can seem to easily get 33-35 mpg when doing the legal limit on UK roads
I’m thinking the car has a 70 litre tank, just over 15 gallons
So from brimming it and leaving a gallon or so in before refuel “ should” mean over 450
I was just wondering anyone that had done full tank range ?
I have a first hit of over 500 miles on the first day and was looking at refuelling stops

400 to a tank , Baring in mind maybe a gallon or so left in would indicate about 27-28 mpg
I did a 102 mile run at weekend which was mainly motorways but had the odd squirt and I achieved 34.9 mpg if the fuel computer is to be believed
I can see a challenge coming on!

I guess it depends how much fun you want to have
400+ is achievable
I did a very slow & boring 70 mile run from Coventry to Oxford, 60mph on cruise (roof down, in no rush) and got 45mpg on the trip computer from my V6S. Normal long motorway run is 38/39mpg sitting around 75mph

On a euro trip you'll be very unlikely to get anything over 400 miles. 350 is more realistic.
I do at least 2 euro trips every year and havent got more than that on most tanks realistically.

23mpg seems pretty low.... I get 22mpg on my daily commute..
