Car has been in hibernation all winter with continuous intravenous courtesy of Ctek. I was going to tax it on 1st April, but as you cannot go anywhere & rightly so, looks like it will be postponed until ???????. Its possible that it will not even surpass last years under 200 miles :o. Just checked to see if its still there

Mines still tucked up in the Carcoon and has been since end October.
No idea when I will be able to get back to take her out of hibernation.

My car is bathing in the sun.. ..used it recently to get some fresh fish from a fishing village 80km away.

We are not in lock-down, only avoiding large groups and contact. So only 5 persons allowed in the store,
keeping 1,5 m apart. Supermarkets are about 5000m² , they let about a hundred customers in : there
are only 100 trolleys available and you need one to be allowed in.

A distance of 1,5m is too little I know from the media, but that's the rule here. Roads are still quite bizzy,
although no traffic jams at all for about 3 weeks now. Also supermarkets are fully stocked. We produce
4x more greens then we eat as a nation, but the flower growers suffer severely. No flowers sold.
This results in complete fields to be turned over without harvesting the flowers.

There are many independent workers with no contract. Some local guys I know well, they are builders.
I think I will device some jobs for them. They can work alone and so would not break any rules.
At least they'd have an income.

We have a large plot, so as long as they stay 20m away from eacht other. And they come in turns.
One can make the foundations, the next builds up the walls and roof. That is for a carport I wanted to build,
but could not get any workers since they are lured with big bucks to large building sites.
We are 500.000 homes short and short of builders.

The Netherlands are lucky to have had a trade surplus for the last 3 years. So 15 billion EURO in cash to take
measures [ yearly budget 300 billion]. But we are one of the smallest countries on the planet, and the densest populated.
Have to see if it stays like this or if they go to full lock-down after all.

Remember to get a battery conditioner on your car if its not going to move any time soon. Don't just start it up & idle every so often as that's when most wear happens plus if the exhaust is not getting hot enough all you will get is condensation & in time rust. Also put an extra 10psi or so in your tyres if its to be just sitting there

Nice....

I want to do that since I was 16yrs old. I then had a moped based on a German motorbike [ Zundapp ], 50cc only.
I wanted to go there by ferry and then camp. Until I started working out the cost of the trip. Too expensive..

Can you see far enough ahead, seated this low ? Before the crises started I planned to go to the south to visit a cousin
and some elderly friends. Decided to take the F-Pace since the hedges and trunk roads are less then convenient
sitting in an F-Type..
