Hi, I am looking to buy a Jaguar F Type and due to COVID-19 I am unable to test drive the car or check I fit. I am 6ft 7. I am average leg and torso. Any other tall drivers? Experiences! I will have to pay a deposit soon, but have been told if I don’t fit I will get a refund.

Hello,

I’m 6’ 1” & have the standard old seats. No problem for me but seat is right back. I do have longish legs though, 33” inside leg so my leg cannot fully extend.

The newer seats, I believe, are thinner & give slightly more leg room.

I’d sit in car & adjust those seat buttons until your fingers bleed. It will be worth it.

Good Luck! 👍

I’m 6’2 originally had a MY2015 car with performance seats and found the leg room marginal even with seat right back. I now have a MY2018 car and leg room much better, seat no longer at back. Seats more comfortable as well.

I’m 6’4 and fit comfortably in my MY18. I have the glass roof too and that hasn’t caused any restrictions. It would be a terrible day to buy one and find out otherwise though.

Thank you all, so the car I am looking at is 2014 with performance seats 14 way adjustable with a flat bottom steering wheel. In regards to advice, it’s the perfect spec, do I put the deposit down now or wait till after COVID19?

That's confusing - how can your legs and torso be "average" yet you're 6ft 7? Do you have a very tall head, or thick feet? :?

Assuming you mean "equally proportioned" I'd say your legs might be a bit long for an early model with the thicker seats, and headroom might be a bit tight (though not in a convertible, obviously! ;)). Really, there's no substitute for actually sitting in one, rather than theoretical speculation. I'm 5ft 11" with 32 inside leg and fit very easily into my MY18, the seat's not right back and there's plenty of room to stretch my legs.

If you have to buy now, I'd insist on a returnable deposit if you don't fit into it.

I'm 6'4 and the new thinner standard sport seats on the MY20 are really good, they are much better than before especially if you are tall.
