My car's going in for it's 4 year (25000kms) service by June (Hopefully)
Is there anything I should ask them to check e.g. battery health, valves etc ?

Now it's more an age rather than a mileage thing.

Thanks

In the UK the brake fluid change is not part of the service.
If not already done then worth including.

There’s a lot of opinion about how often the fluid should be changed, ranging from every 2 to 5 years. Apart from any obvious discolouration the only way to know is with a tester to check for water content.

Rear diff deffo as mentioned.

Brake fluid...buy a brake fluid tester, they are very cheap.

Coolant quality check.

Have just upgraded to DOT 5.1 and flushed my brake fluid completely... Really simple to DIY and saves a bit of money. Coolant is equally as easy.

Rear diff is a bit more fiddly, but if you are happy to weild a spanner can be DIY too.

Thanks guys, I'll make a list for JLR to check these. They're normally pretty good in keeping to the OEM's requirements,
Any more comments, please let me know.

Just noticed that my Tire Sealant appears to have an expiry date of 11/2020 which is 4 years after my Car was Registered...but do not know if it has or needs to be replaced at its 4 year Service in November 2020

I’ve only had to use tyre sealant once, whilst en route to the airport. Lasted less than 5 miles, missed my flight, wheel was a right mess to clean up and tyre had to be replaced. I’ll never use it again.

I would just hang on to the original one and not waste money, if you get a puncture call breakdown or a mate.
