So next year I've chosen these people.

Reviews seem good. Will monitor over the coming year.

Good choice. Just had full service there plus had gearbox oil/filter replaced, brake fluid change & Air Con Service. Not cheap.but peace of mind that all done correctly...

They also won’t be loading any updates unless I request. Mechanical work only.

Within warranty, car had been at Derby main dealer. I would ask owners to check what actually gets done at service. More importantly is online record completed.

May I ask how much? Do you have a breakdown of costs?

Blade_76 wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 1:58 pm I've just been quoted £522 for the 5 year service on my V6S, £200 for plugs seems excessive to me! Think I will be questioning that one
i think it is the labour time to get to the plugs that makes it pricey, especially when they are charging upward of £140 p/h + vat

When I had mine serviced, at main dealer, they sent it elsewhere for MOT.
Next day got the dreaded low battery. MOT people must have connected to OBD port.

Need to give credit to dealers when excellent service is given..so here it is.

Matford Exeter,
Great personal service , nice courtesy car with 900 miles on.

Interim 5 year service done at the JLR fixed price of £325, sump oil drain not pumped out. No stupid add ons such as washer fluid or desanitisation.
Plug change 6 plugs (V6) for £88.

Very happy as usual 👍👍

well done, its what i like to read, positive feedback where it is warranted and honest negative reports if dealer has failed.

Just to revitalise this thread since there was some good information in there.

I just booked my 2014MY V6S in for it's 96month service with my local Jaguar dealer and was pleasantly surprised at the cost, just £535 vs £701 on the Jaguar website. I believe that's for oil, spark plugs and airbox filters. Although now wondering if that's the air pollen filter and not airbox. Jaguar website is very vague, see below. I notice there is a offer on for an oil service at £149 at the moment, so perhaps that explains some of the discount, or could it be that they're discounting older cars now like BMW do. Tried to sell me a service plan, but it was £2 cheaper over two years lol. Also declined the "enhanced engine flush" at £35.

I'm only doing around 3500-4000 miles a year at the moment. Last year I had brake fluid and diff oil done. Next year I'll see to the coolant, although that was changed last year when the supercharger was replaced.

Not booked in until the middle of next month, but excited to see what courtesy car I get, never driven another Jag before.

I recently purchased a 2016 V6 S which was due its 5 years service (oil and plugs). I was surprised the London dealer was asking £700+ for the service. I asked for a breakdown of the cost to be informed that labour was now £220 an hour. I was also interested to see they were charging £5 cost for the water to top up my (already full) windscreen wash. When I asked if this water was blessed by the Pope himself they did say there would be an added charge to find out - so at that point I declined their kind offer of a service and went to an Indy who was £300 cheaper and updated the online service history that day and gave me a personal tour of the car. It is true that you get what you pay for ... but sometimes it’s who you pay that matters. No Papal aquatic copyrights have been breached in the making of this reply...though my local Indy walks on water in my eyes.
