I had a vodafone data-sim, with a 'twinned' 2nd card. So I could use the data in the car I drive.
Now they changed the rates [ from € 11,50 --> € 21 pm ].

First I thought I get some prepaid data sims, they cost me eventually € 0,50 per month, no big deal.

But did anybody connect the WiFi from the car to their phone, using data for the infotainment and maps,
so then you only need the phone subscription... 8-)

Does it work ?

Dan, I don't have yet my F (few more days... :evil: ), but my dd is an F-Pace and I do indeed turn hotspot connection on my mobile and connect successfully to infotainment and map. Works as good as a separate sim.

Thats the ínverse' ; you connect 3 mobiles with your cars wifi based on the sim in de car...

I want to feed the car from my phone to avoid a simcard in the car... :geek:

Lost in translation :lol:

3Mobile is a uk service provider.

Although if you also have 3 mobiles in the car conversation could get complicated 😉

Dan, I spoke a bit too fast on this: now that I got my car I explored the system and could not get to the option of connecting to an external Wifi source.
Obviously what works on an F-Pace does not on an F-Type.
Sorry if I mislead you on this. :oops:

So if any fellow has a procedure to do it, please share.

No worries. It does work with the F-Type as soon as I get into the '20S' update, still on '19A'... :roll:

I have the 19B which according to the release notes: in 'new features' should enable wireless incontrol touch pro updates. But it does not.
Appreciate if you could drop me a line once you see a change.
