Here you go. One cut and shut front plate mount
It’s not difficult and of course with the right number plate fully legal
How do you attach front number plate?

Mine is stuck direct to the plinth with 2 strips of double sided number plate tape lengthwise to allow for the curve. Been on for 2 years no with no issues.

Just picked mine up and one issue I probably should resolve is the re-fitting of the front numberplate.
The previous owner removed it because he hated the mounting plate, and that I totally understand
He went to the trouble of having the bar filled and repainted………….it looks really good and I’ll feel a bit guilty covering the nice work, but I know it’s only a matter of time before I get pulled for it.
Taping the plate directly to the bar is my preferred option, can anyone who did this please let me know if it had stood the test of time, plus did you put some curvature into it before attaching?
Edit - just re-read the last post, looks like it does work, is it still there after 4 years and specifically which tape did you use?

One of the guys on here has a stick-on one that fits above the front grill and I don't believe hes fallen foul of the law over it. Probably a picture of it somewhere on the site.

Also, folks on the US site use a Sho-n-Sto bracket that fits under the front bumper.

Still holding fast. I bought a roll of double sided tape from a car accessory shop.

Thanks for the replies Gents, not too keen on the stick on version, the US plate looks good, although could get knocked, maybe?
Tape is the answer I think……………as suggested above, I’ll warm the plate and try put some curve into it before attaching
Cheers

The plate is plenty flexible enough without heat.

Tom , use 3M tape , it is good and strong and used for a wide range of car parts

These are very good......https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272462815744
The dimensions of the double sided sticky pads are: 95mm x 25mm x 1mm (Length x Width x Thickness). Some other sticky pads are smaller than this and they don’t hold anywhere near as well.
Make sure that both surfaces are clean and dry. Space the sticky pads similar to that shown in the attached image.....no need to try and put a curve in the number plate which is already flexible enough.

I cut centre strip out of the plastic mount, and heat welded it back to the shorter size of my new plate. I filled old plate screws, resprayed bar, and refitted.
I’m pleased with the result, and think it looks a proper job.
