Anyone else get an invite to test drive the new V8 F-type at the proving grounds? I've managed to get a slot on the 17th.

Went today. It was brilliant. Well organised and great fun. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

For Rob and those thinking about it I thought it was great. I've done a few Jaguar events driving all the range over the years but the informality and quality driving time were great a this event. You get to drive P450 RWD and AWD along with the R. Smart cones, ice road, handling circuit and the track bowl. Got 167 mph on the track in the R vs 154mph in the rwd P450 despite them saying we had to stick to 150mph. The instructor pushed to go faster. On track I thought the R felt a lot more potent but guess you probably wouldn't notice on the road. I haven't drive one since my V6S sold two years ago and it might be but it felt quieter. I still wouldn't sell my A110 for another one but would love another Jag at some point.

Definitely going, but checking into a hotel the night before so don't have to leave middle of the night😁

Did this today. Great fun with plenty of time behind the wheel. Fantastic food as well!!
