side bolster...wear and tear?

Asked for my dealer to look at this under warranty but knocked back. Car has only done 19k miles with 1 driver from new...me! Only 2.5 years old.
They said I would need to take up with Jag customer care. The car was G-Tech coated inside and out off the transporter from new.
Thoughts...not best picture maybe but its the leather on the leafing edge of the bolster.

Not surprised you got knocked back. Getting in/out will cause contact/rubbing. I try & use my arms to lift my body over the seat then drop into it.

Fair point. However having owned several other brands over the years with similar side bolsters and no issues, disappointed with level of wear

I have the same issue. Reported it at 9K miles and 20 months old. Dealer said before lockdown they would look into it but the person I was dealing with has since left the dealership. I’m now going to take it up with JLR customer care.

Looks like that's where I'm heading. That was the only advice from the dealership

My car is 3 yrs old with 10,000 miles on it and has exactly the same issue.
All leather, no matter how good will eventually wear off around the edges that are most exposed to friction, and I must admit that getting in/out of the the F-Type does take a certain degree of practice and technique.

One suggestion : are left/right same partnumbers ? You can swap them...

I have the same issue sinc 25.000 km, then 20 months old.. .. will be replaced under warranty...

..both sides same issue [ drive with my son 90% of the time..].

Mine looked exactly the same when I bought it, at only 5000 miles, which was surprising.

Dealer said wear and tear also and as buying second hand I didn't have a great deal to complain on as I could have walked away.

But a little bit of black leather dye brushed on with a small artist brush, and it's almost Invisible now.

With me the edge is rough from wear, as its 'leatherette' . If I touch it up, I loose my claim. But its a good tip for anyone out of guarantee.
