Hello all,

I am having some issues with my 2014 V6 S (p380) F Type convertible.

Primary is air leak on both banks before map sensor (intake air leak)

Secondary is a differential that is making a knocking noise. (new diff circa £1200)

I could do with the address of an independent Jag specialist that you guys trust to assist me as i will not pay the £200 per hr dealer prices.

New diff supply and fit circa £3000?? come on! so that's £1800 fitting (inc VAT)......i am seriously considering rent a ramp and changing the bloody thing myself.

Not sure how bad the diff knocking is but other members have found just changing the diff oil has made improvements so might be worth trying before shelling out for a new diff, relatively simple and cheap to do.

Hope you get it sorted.

I am in Essex 👍

And the diff feels loose slight jerking as well when in cruse controll and power comes on and off.

Knocking is noticeably worse at low speed turning sharply.

That could well be you don't have the rear spring isolators fitted with the same symptoms, that's what Jaguar diagnosed on my 2014MY car and believe there was a technical bulletin on the topic.

Also mentioned here......

"(2) Moving at slow speed, turn the wheel in quarter turns left to full lock then right. If you hear any grinding from the rear, that gets worse with the greater lock then the differential needs checking. Mine broke after a few months and was replaced under warranty."

"(3) Listen for any thump from the rear at slow speed especially going over bumps. Long standing Jaguar known issue with the isolator sleeves on the rear suspension. £300 or so I've been quoted (not under warranty)."
