Fitting a dashcam. Trying to locate a permanent power connection in the footwell/ A frame fuse panel.
Every time I think I've found one it turns off after a few minutes.!
Help appreciated.

And I am looking too for the same help.
Frankly surprised by the location and access to this fuse panel: Is this location specific to the MY20?
Eagerly looking forward to the wise guidance

one is the layout of the fuses and the other is the way to access the fuse box easier, i fitted my Nextbase dashcam last weekend, using this.
I didn't need a permanent though, pictures show the removal methods. only tools needed was a small torx driver for the release lever and a trim removal tool.

When you say it turns off is this while engine is running? My dashcam is connected to the battery but will shutdown when the car is stopped if the battery level gets lower than the set cutoff.

Yes it does, but then you have a cable hanging with an annoyingly prominent plug

I initially routed the cable to the cubby, but once you plug into that socket it becomes quite annoying to store or fetch anything in there.
While once you route your cable down the A pillar, it is quite easy to reach the fuse panel and tuck the plug and excess cable behind the open-top trim panel.
