Found this on a Facebook page. Guy (think he’s in US) adamant 2.0 being discontinued in favour of a low powered V8?
Could be across the pond but can’t see it in Uk as P300 is top seller

It's certainly true in the US and I think Australia. They don't have the P450 in their markets but did still have the V6 which was dropped in the UK last year I think. The 2L is being dropped for an all V8 market of the P450 and P575.

Not sure what they'll do here. If it passes the EU emissions rules and it sells well enough they'll keep it going. Looking on autotrader at the proportion of P300s vs P450, the 2L isn't selling that well.

Not heard that one in UK, maybe in U.S. Below are links to the number of Registrations and SORN'd F-Types.

In Oz the 2.0 litre is not stopping AFAIK, I think that is as US thing only as in the US unless it has a V8 it isn’t a real car 😂

Friend of mine was in LA at the end of 2019 and said that the majority of Ftypes he saw driving around were the 2litre 300ps. Many more on the road, than here in the UK at the time. Might just be related to emission regs in California than the rest of the US

So you subscribe to the US car design philosophy of 'put a big enough engine in a piece of $*1t and it will go?" :D

More Power!!!!!!
:D
I think the P300 has brought the F-Type within reach of a lot more people cost-wise.
Not everybody has the funds for the V8 version when buying new.

Looking at the V8 new price in the UK, only if, can get an SVR for the price of a P300 in Oz, but you do get hit hard with petrol prices

The end of my last sentence was "when buying new".
I'm sure you can buy a used SVR for the price of a new P300. in most countries.

My point is that the lower price of the P300 brought ownership of an F-Type a lot closer to a lot more people who might not have been able to afford a new V6 or V8.
