Hi Guys,
Anyone have any issues with Jaguar map updates not recognising the VIN at all?
Car is 5 years old and Jaguar have removed old owner details and I am set up as the owner.
All a little annoying after spending a fortune on a new map!
Thanks everyone

Walk us through the steps and where do you get the error? The 400 sport instructions I use are:
1) Click here - https://www.jaguar.here.com/ and login
2) Click on "Maps and Services" at the top
3) Scroll down and select Get Latest Version (noting your subscription expiry date)
4) Install "Here Map Downloader"
5) Click Download Map and follow instructions

If you have been added as the new owner today, after the old one was deleted, it may take 24 hours to enable the software setup at their end, had similar delay on my previous XE and this F Type initialising the Nav software when i bought from new.

Had this problem. Try tomorrow it will work
Ah! Ok that seems to take me to the correct place where the map I purchased is!
I just need to wait for my 32 BG usb to arrive from Amazon today and hopefully all should be ok!
I will report back!
Thanks simpleR

Yes, when you create your profile on the "Here" site it normally takes around 24hrs for the vehicle to appear on your profile.
I'm afraid there's bad news regarding the 32GB memory stick you have on order.
As you can see the latest maps are over 32GB so you will need a 64GB stick and a lot of people have been caught with this.
The 64GB stick may not be formatted to "FAT32" when you get it which is the format that works with the car.
There are a few online software tools which will help you format it to "FAT 32" if necessary.

Yes there are a few different locations for map downloads. Oddly if you start at the Jaguar home page and follow the links you end up in the wrong place for 400 sport models.
But as Phil said. You'll need a 64gb USB stick.

Decided to update my maps having not done so since purchased car back in 2019 - method for me is via USB - took 4 hours to download onto USB ? - I had option of 1 year or 3 year map download - both free - so not sure what difference is but anyway haven't put USB in car yet - fearing another 4 hour wait?
Should take 20-30 mins to program into car, best done while travelling, dont turn off or get out of the car while it's doing it as if it gets interrupted it can start over!, Yes I have the 2 options too, but not for much longer as about to expire ..
