Coming from Porsche where the point of the shield should always point towards the tyre valve. Should the Jags chin do the same? Anal yes, but it now bugs me that they are all random 🤪
It was a sign that the car had been owned by an enthusiast plus was fun to twist one off and see if the dealer corrected it when in garage... they always did 😂

Of course it should. And the locking wheel nut should be in line with chin and valve, either above or below the centre cap, depending on stud placement.

Yes, the locking nut should be opposite the valve too

OCD at it best. I’m glad other people are focused on the details. My wife thinks it’s just me.

Or between the centre cap and the valve (e.g carbon blades). The wheel stud placement differs according to wheel type.

Women have OCD about other things, e.g. toilet seats down, and which shoes go with with which dress. ;)

I’m with Bob, I was privileged with a Union Jack pack when I got mine, so tread plate, caps are shouting Britishness, however they are not synchronized :x

I agree, OCD or not, centre caps should be aligned
More important to me though is that red and yellow dots on tyres align to rim accordingly
If you don't have a dot on the rim to align to the red dot, high tyre point to low rim point, then yellow dot to valve lowest weight point on tyre to highest weight on rim. Best balance position, less weights and a neater job :)
Red takes priority over yellow

Ask most volume tyre shops and they have never even heard of it
