Hi all …. Hope you’re all well
So I’ve really got OCD with regard to my cars. And the thing that’s annoying me most about my F-Type is the climate control knobs, and the fact that they show up scratches and things in the sunlight, because they are plastic screens and not crystal glass like a good watch. My therapist is on standby
Was thinking of applying these to see if it helps, because I don’t like the idea of trying to polish the plastic.

Does anyone know what the diameter of the dials is? I’m away in Middle East or I’d go and measure them myself obviously
Thanks.
Climate Control Dials - swirls and light scratches in the plastic
Good idea , mine is all wrapped up till spring perhaps another owner can tell you the measurement's
When I bought our car I cut out of some spare Xpel PPF protective pieces for the gear knob, start button etc.
Buy a sheet of PPF and use an appropriate sized jar top etc to cut round with a scalpel.
Mines been on for 6 years and still in place.
Alternatively I also use a three srage polish on certain piano black parts :
Novus plastic polish and scratch remover for acrylic and gloss plastics. 1, 2 & 3. 8oz set (237ml)
Where in the ME are you? I'm sat in the Red Sea as I type!

The diameter of the plastic faced piece in the centre of the dial is 38.0mm, or about 1.1/2" (measured with a vernier).

Yes indeed, that would have been my next call. But they sell flat, round glass protectors at 38mm on eBay. So I have ordered them and I'll report back how I get on with the install and whether it solves the problemTel wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 2:35 pm When I bought our car I cut out of some spare Xpel PPF protective pieces for the gear knob, start button etc.
