Hi everyone, after having enjoyed my V8 S for the last 18 months on the public roads, I've booked myself a track day up at Snetterton to really stretch the legs.

I'm a first time track day-er and was looking at getting track day insurance. Does anyone have any recommendations and can give a guide on what would be a reasonable cost?

I did a have a quick look on one site and it came back at £460 for full value coverage which seemed a bit high!

''Insurance'' and ''reasonable cost'' aren't normally found in the same sentence!

Go to a well organised, disciplined and professionally run day out and you don't need insurance, unless it's for you're paranoid of course ;-)

Not that's you're asking, but for future, try https://www.motorsport-events.com/

thanks everyone, with a bit of shopping around I've got 25K of coverage for just over £200 which I'm happy with.

As Tel put above, this is mainly for my paranoid brain!

JEC events are well disciplined and can be done insurance free, unless you don't tryst yourself.

To SkiMB:
Is there any excess on your £25k cover for £200? For public roads insurance you normally have a hefty excess to get a fair premium, thinking of tracking my V6S later this year, done track days before in BMWs.
