I have had a quote for a service plan via installments which totals £848 for the 96k/6 year and 112k/7 year services on a 2 year plan. Car is a 2019 P380 V6 AWD - it was serviced 2 weeks ago when I bought it at Stratstone Nottingham.

Would be keen to get thoughts on whether a service plan offers any value, or is it about spreading the cost?
This help?

Brilliant thanks- not sure how you did that I will look again! So the service plan doesn’t make any sense at £848 versus the standalone cost of £713. Strange…

That's the conclusion I came to.

The service plan allows payment monthly to spread the cost, at 0% APR, and is also fixed price so is not subject to inflation or price increases. It can also be transferred to next owner.
Over 3, 4 or 5 years including the large service for belts it will suit some people. For example oil changes were £129 just a couple of years ago but now £231. But I agree it is more expensive.

Worth noting that Inchcape have their £385 service to schedule available again. I have always used this at Jaguar Derby (still not re-open) without issue (4th service with rear diff and brake fluid, 5th service with spark plugs, etc) but I have noted some people reporting trying to be charged more upon arrival so use with caution and double check.

Thanks SimpleR. I am actually Leeds based so not near an Inchcape. Vertu are offering 3 years servicing and mot for just over £1000 c£30 per month but I have never held onto a car for 3 years. 😝

I just checked to see what I could get a 3-year plan for, and it's a significant saving over the standard costs listed on Jaguar's servicing site. Vertu have quoted me £1100 for the next 3 services, with MOTs, whilst Jaguar's site lists the prices as:

Year 5 - £283 (basic oil and filter)
Year 6 - £834 (this includes spark plugs and brake fluid change)
Year 7 - £283 (basic oil and filter)

+ 3 x MOT (~£150)

That's over £400 more than the fixed £30 a month deal Vertu are offering. Had I not still got another year to run on the current 3-year plan, I'd be signing up for that sharpish.

It’s very tempting.
