Service Cost

I have a 2018 340 and my dealer service is being quoted at around £700!

It’s my first ‘nice’ car but this just seems mental to me

Does this sound right to you all or should I be hunting around for independent garages?

Depends which service but presuming this is your 3rd or 4th then no that is very high.

If you PM me your reg I'll look it up to see what is required and what the recommended sell price is if you want.

I'd investigate independents as they're more likely to give your car the love it deserves. Assuming they want your custom, of course. And they're more likely to treat you like you know what you're talking about, too!

Find a good Indie if you can.
Mine going in shortly for some work, the major service items including spark plugs is £535+vat

5th service including plugs on a V6 should £385 at main dealer. I haven't found an independent that can beat a main dealer quote.

I payed £1146 for 3 years servicing that's just under £400 that's for services 6, 7 and 8 I think. That was through Emac online.

Having called around and getting quotes from 3-450 (main dealers and independents) my local will still not budge from their 700ish figure
No real excuse just some waffle about genuine jag parts and work

I’ve decided to take it to the closest jag specialist for 350
