Personally I went for a late 550 Awd, over a P450 it was the looks, not a fan of the new headlights. I’m sure I’ll get used to them but it loses that modern day E type look which is what I love about it.
So far I’m delighted with it, such an easy car to drive and live with, far more comfortable than my X3M.
Difficult Choice of V8's
Good to hear from somebody who has tried both. Im tending more towards an older 550 at the moment partly because when I look for a P450 with all the options I want its about £5K over my budget.
Was interested in a blue 550 AWD, 2018 only 7500 miles - when I asked main dealer how many owners it has had, they replied 1 - but a car check shows 3. Not sure who is correct as awaiting response from dealer but seems odd if a car has had 3 owners and only done 7500 miles in 4 years!

Whilst recently hunting down and buying a Velar I found a fair few that had one or 2 dealers registered as owners. Seems more common during a post covid when they buy and sell between dealers, register, tax and use them, rather than pre covid registering endless new cars for management, demo's, etc. I can many imagine as joint dealerships they do the same on the Jaguar side.Purplecat wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 12:06 pm Good to hear from somebody who has tried both. Car dealers , I love it when they pretend not to know how many owners a car has had, or the service history. Funny how they seem to be able to remember these things when buying from you.
Similarly my car was registered to a dealer for 6 months to begin with. Probably to make it a VAT qualifying used car, as the person who bought then put it through a company.
