So due to the lack of genuine p7 grills and the ridiculous price from china for a basically plastic grill
Decided to make one
Still need to either paint the surround or hydrodip or carbon wrap undecided at moment
Parking sensors fitted and functional with no false readings and pedestrian impact sensors relocated
Not an easy job but happy with end result

I can imagine a lot of work went in to that.

Tbh it took longer than it should have as I mucked up my first attempt so went back to the drawing board
It's cleaned up the front end and will aid cooling as increased surface area

Hey Gasman2 - great looking project and just the stuff I love doing (having swapped my entire bumper cover for an SVR and had all the same sort of reworking, fettling, parking sensor relocating issues, etc.).
Look forward to seeing the final result post dipping

I have a couple of questions on the manufacture if you don't mind. Did you work with fibreglass and a mould, 3D printing, modifying a standard surround? or something else? What is the source of the mesh since the original are 2 part?

Used orig surround and mix of fibreglass and filler to cover the holes
Then used a e pace grill and just had to fettle it a bit
The parking sensor holders I got from another member
The most time consuming part was getting a good finish on the surround as I was just going to paint it but struggled to get a good enough top coat

Ah great.. Old school with fibreglass. Getting a lasting bond on such parts has been challenging for me, but easy to work with
Like the idea of an E pace grille :)
Thanks for sharing insights..
