The nice people in Warwickshire have finished playing with my car after I gave up trying to fit the top pulley (broke the puller and my patience!). New flex ray tune and both pullies resulted in 660hp. Picking it up Sat morning.

Been swanning around in their company Ford Ranger Raptor..... which I really like! 😳

Jeez that will be quick, the Excite tune on the 5 litre is quick enough. Just out of interest have you gone to a specialist insurer?

Yes will be interesting. My last car was allot more power but not as much fun. I brought the pulleys and tune and ended up with fitment and mapping for free as they borrowed mine to finesse the map. 😎. Prices are on their website.

Ended up at 660hp and 900nm of torque. Drives perfect and very responsive. Just the map pushed it to near 600hp so went in healthy before the pulleys.

I thought the transmission was a ZF-8HP70 - i.e. max 700 Nm-1 🤔

…I’ve been wrong before.

I hope the gearbox isn’t limited as I have around 780nm from the Excite Viezu map.
. incidentally Roger is the pick-up mid range more noticeable with the pulleys as opposed to the stage 1 map without the pulleys?

Wikipedia agrees with you ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZF_8HP_transmission

"In the 8HP70 version, it has a torque handling limit of 700 newton-metres (516 lbf⋅ft) ...."

That’s probably why the R version has 516lb ft, the maximum it can take according to the Wiki.
