A few days ago had what sounded like a relay around the glovebox area clicking like crazy, but it stopped after about a minute. Nothing else adverse going on.

Then today it did the clicking again but along with it, the infotainment screen died. After leaving the car for 30 mins the screen returned and all was well.

Any ideas on what this might be? I wonder if the screen dying was just a coincidence alongside the clicking noise, since I know they do occasionally crash. Definitely nervous about the relay clicking sound as I can imagine whatever is making the noise is probably on its way out.

Next stop might be taking dash apart to poke around a bit.

How's the state of charge of your battery? Low voltage can give rise to electrical gremlins occurring. Easier to check/charge than dismantling the dash! ;)

Dodgy connection or earth nearby to the noise you're hearing.

Thanks both. Checked the battery voltage and all good both engine off and on - plus this happened after a reasonably long drive so battery should have been up to charge.

I'll dig into the dash and take a look. Would agree it feels like a bad connection, probably an earthing issue.

Before you rip the dash to pieces....
There have been some previous topics and posts regarding loose battery terminals and connections and also corroded earth on earlier cars in front right wheel arch behind liner.

Might want to start there maybe.
