Just wanted to poll - what items people usual tuck away in the boot , as I planning 1,500 mile round trip to Scotland in October

- Multi-Meter
- Spare fuses
- First Aid Kit
- Head Torch
- Tyre-filler
- Oil & spare coolant
- Gaffer tape
- AA cover
- Sun blind - Yes I am an optimist ;-) maybe de-icer ........ lol
- Pliers/Small screwdriver

Anything else worth throwing in the boot ?

Cheers

Just added a Gadlane tyre plug repair kit to my emergency stash. Off eBay about £20.00. Very popular in US.

I also carry the foam plus a Makita 18V DMP180Z Cordless Inflator. Magic bit of kit & saves checking tyre pressures at a garage.

Jump leads, warning triangle, tie-wraps, hi-vis vest/jacket.
Personally, I wouldn't bother with the oil or water.
IMO, the most likely problem you'll encounter will be a puncture.

Depending on where you intend going in Scotland, I'd also pre-book accommodation. It can be scarce farther North. (Guess how I know 😂)

100% this, if you go anywhere near the Cairngorms.

The extras I carry over your list are
In boot ~
-selection of cable ties.
-multi tool.
-warning triangle.
-golf umbrella
-throw away gloves.
-2 different types of tyre repair kits incl electric pump.
-tow rope (because I have a 340 with simple diff, & it gets stuck v.easily in snow, mud, ice.. also I sail so I have loads of spare ropes!)

In car ~
-reflective jackets on the hooks behind the seats
