Europe maps
I find best option by far these days is to use Waze or Google maps on your phone with Apple CarPlay (or Android Auto) - then maps are always up to date and no more messing about with memory sticks etc

Hmm, never heard of OTA updates of the maps. I have SOTA updates but have only updated the maps data via a USB stick and have never seen any other option.
OTA map data updates would be useful but I suppose it's just not set up that way because a one shot download of 30ish GB is too much data to transfer over the mobile networks. Another nice option would be if the car could connect to a wifi network and update it that way, but JLR obviously haven't implemented that.
If you use the satellite view in the nav the satellite imagery is always up to date though (the latest data there is on HERE's servers that is) because it's loaded live on the fly.
