You might tell from digit 5 of the VIN - the info I've gleaned from "who knows where" says A is AWD and B is RWD for all markets except USA and Canada. Whether that still applies for the facelifts is anyone's guess!

Prefix 5 (F-Type)
A - AWD (All markets except NAS (USA & Canada))
B - RWD (All markets except NAS (USA & Canada))
D - Standard (SP0) RWD
F - (R-Dynamic (RD0) RWD) - (400 Sport (LE7 RWD))
K - Standard (SP0) AWD
8 - (R-Dynamic (RD0) RWD) - (400 Sport (LE7 AWD))
5 - R (SR1) AWD
Z - SVR (VR1) AWD

Wondering what is people's experience with the upgraded 770w Meridian system?

Good morning, do all facelifted cars have IDD (Intelligent Driveline Dynamics) as standard? If not, what is it so I can decide whether it's important to me or not. Many thanks

Thanks. I asked what it does because there is no "button" for it and I need to figure out if this is standard equipment on all facelifted AWD cars or not.

Good evening. We're ready to pull the trigger with the missus. BUT we need some guidance from sage F-Type owners first.

Let's say you have few P450 and P575 R cars in virtually identical trim level and all AWD Convertibles. The only thing separating them is year, mileage and of course price.

In one corner we have couple of P450s around 2022-2023 year, around 2000 miles on the clock BUT around 9000 pounds (10.000 euros) more expensive. Obviously still having factory warranty for few more years.

In other corner we have couple of P575 R cars, year 2020, around 15k - 20k miles on the clock BUT around 9000 pounds (10.000 euros) cheaper. These cars have 2 years of Jaguar Approved warranty.

What would YOU buy? Take into account you'll be keeping the car for 2-3 years. We're interested in YOUR opinion, what we think does not matter.

Let the match begin!

Just something to keep in mind about the warranties if you're buying in Germany - the Jaguar Approved warranty isn't worth as much as the factory warranty because there's a lot of things excluded from it.

I’d buy the P575 R if I was in your position. I’d always go for an older car which has a better specification than a newer model, a bit like buying a 1985 Orion 1.6i Ghia instead of a 1987 Orion 1.6L. For some people it’s about the image with a newer car on the driveway but there’ll be that day when you’re sitting at the traffic lights and the more powerful/better equipped, albeit slightly older, version pulls up next to you…
