Hello All,

There were only two contenders when I purchased my weekend car. I went with the F-Type due to wife refusing to wear seat harnesses along with other modern practicalities. The other was one of these...

I’d own that over any other car 😍

Purchased the F-Type knowing I wanted to make it look different & I’m very happy with results so far...

However the itch to keep moving it along still remains.

There’s a US BRG Coupe with ‘rose gold’ alloys that I think looks sublime 👌 Do you think gold on my white would look better than current gloss black? I know that’s subjective but would appreciate opinions. TIA 👍

Just on opinion from someone who isn't a fan of neither black nor gold wheels ;) - I think the car would look more interesting with some well designed rose gold wheels. You'd add some nice contrast and the wheels would definitely stand out more. Black wheels can be quite bland. I'd have a go with an online wheel configurator, photoshop or an AI image generator to get more of a feeling of how it would look.

I remember reading about your car in Jaguar World by the way. Great job with the mods so far!

Black wheels can/are easier to repair damage on, perhaps? A Black sharpie anyone :D .

Appreciate your comments MT. Thank you 😊

I don’t dislike the gloss black, they are highly polished & provide a great background for the brake calipers. The gold minilites, on the Escort & BRG F-Type, look amazing. My caution, in going for gold, would be the car looking a bit too bling 🤩 Especially with larger 21’s. Will look into the configurator etc.

Decisions, decisions...

Yes. Will coincide it with tyre change time.

Personally, with your white car, I'd stick with the black wheels.

Just my view, but I think gold wheels look right on certain classic cars, old WRX Subaru, etc. and some of the more radical retro custom cars. Rose gold has been on trend for over a decade, but had it's day in any market - way too bling and moving down market.

That said if you can configure on photoshop and create a 2 tone rim with highlights then it might work??

If it's a straight choice of the 2 then stick with black.
