Hi,
What are peoples views on service history vs miles
Debating over a couple of f type one has really low miles but part service history and the other has 12k more on the clock but same price with full service history
Which would affect value more on resale?
Thanks
Jonny

I think you've already answered your own question, they're both the same price.

Well looking forward unless you park it up or drive really low miles yourself, then at some point the low mileage car will have higher miles and be much less relevant, but will always have a partial service history.
Personally I'm not a big fan of low mileage on older cars as lots goes wrong just by not driving. oil deteriorates by age not just miles, seals start to leak, etc.

The car that has been used more, with full service history would be my recommendation, F types liked to be used often, and serviced regularly

It’s a bit of a dilemma as the low mileage is at 20k but has been serviced every two years Jaguar and specialist
The higher mileage is 30k but full Jaguar history
I prefer the look of the lower mileage as it has a few extras but want to make the right decision.
Heart is saying lower mileage but head is saying service history.
Any further advice would be appreciated
Thanks

To me it doesn't really matter. If the few common issues that F types suffer from are not present (plenty of videos on YouTube), you like it and you're happy with the price, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
Opinions are like arse holes, everyone has one.
