I had 2 Cats made and fitted for 1k JLR wanted 5k just for the parts
Absolutely, they said they do a swift trade in Range Rover diffs

The funny thing is I did ask my local dealer (Coventry LandRover (Jaguar now gone)) for a price to replace my diff with a brand new one, took about 3 transfers to actually get the right person, who then just wanted to say it's £120 an hour to "investigate" after i managed to convince him that's not what i asked for and i wanted a price for a brand new diff fitted, he said he would have to work it out and ring me back - he never did call me back

I think over the next 5 years Jaguar Independents for petrol/diesel engine cars will flourish at the expense of JLR

The first thing I did after purchasing my V8 R and it's first service was to have the diff oil replaced and the breather verified as clear. I could have done it myself but for 108 pounds at Boringdon Manor Garage (Independent Jag specialist) in Plymouth it was a no brainer. I did read about the diff issues and if the breather becomes blocked it can blow the front seal on the diff.

Have to say I am very happy with Boringdon Manor and they just love having the Jag in. Last service this year @44K, new spark plugs, air filters, pollen filter, oil & filter change and an inspection overall cost 536 pounds. They did point out that both rear tyres were at 3mm tread! MOT booked in for 28th Jan, if it stays that way it should pass then I retorted :)

I have just bought two Michelin PS4's (295's) as I got a great deal on them from a guy on ebay, he bought a job lot from Gordon Murray's company GMA, as they didn't end up using this tyre size. I had a good chat with the guy and saved over 200 pounds, ok I still have to pay for fitting & balancing. Really looking forward to seeing how they perform on the car as the feel the P Zero's are a little lack lustre in grip, even when the tyres were new!
