My Jaguar extended warranty renewal has arrived and it’s gone from £800 to over £1000 including the Jaguar recovery. Another example of shocking price increases. Have gone with it this time but perhaps not much longer. Somewhat apprehensive already about next years insurance increase. Will these endless exercises in consumer theft ever slow?

Unfortunately the price also goes up the older the car gets.

My price was £700 ish for a 21 p450. I didn’t think the price was expensive compared to BMW extended warranties on M cars, dare I say it was a bargain!

When I extended my warranty in 2021 it was over £1000 so it's hardly gone up, as far as I can tell. That was my last renewal, though, the car has been running nicely.

Even more reason to bank the money and self fund.

I must have been habitually skimmed, then, back in the days of ownership of my XKR.
Between 2015 and 2021 I paid £900 rising to over a £1000 🫤 per year.

What was I doing wrong?

Nothing wrong - every Jaguar warranty I've been offered (from 2014 on) was always around £1000. I've usually declined and relied on my trusted independent to keep me on the road for less than £1000 a year. Excluding fuel and tyres, obviously! :)
