Morning

I am in the market for an F-Type R and have found one i like. Going to see it this weekend. I have asked for the service history and they have sent it through. Just a couple of questions.
The car has a warranty start date of 06/12/2017.
The 12 month service was completed 23/02/2019
The 24 month service was completed 05/10/2021
The 36 month service was completed 23/02/2023

Now unless I'm missing something obvious here is seems that they were all late and therefore it is actually missing some services. Current mileage is 35000.

VIN SAJDA1AE7JCK55096

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The 2 year service was probably late because of Covid - worth checking the mileage between services.

I wouldn't get too worried about the timescales between services, but yes, the mileage. Why is it we are all fixated on the 12 months between services? If my car had only done 50 miles in a year, I may get it MOT'd but serviced?? This is just an example, I know not driving a car for year is a bit off but we should be respecting the service history to how it's been used.

Yes, I'm in that situation. The next service will be due in April and when the car will have done 1000 miles or so since the last service. I don't mind an oil and filter service every 12 months but a full on service every year sounds wasteful. I guess I'm going to have to do it as I'm in my first year of ownership, got a year's warranty which requires maintenance to be done as per OEM specs...

Simple answer to this is count from the registration date and the car requires an annual service from then on (unless high mileage warrants earlier).
It should therefore have been service in December 18,19, 20, 21, 22 & 23, so 6 against the 3 listed.

Your judgement call if you're happy, but oil and other fluid like AT, diff, supercharger deteriorate over time as well as mileage and unless you look at the OSH and often support documents, you cannot tell if they did all the major work, such as plugs at 5 years.
Regardless it's by no means a full service history so a strong bargaining point
