Proper petrol is about 20p per litre more than E10, which is circa £12 for a tank. I reckon at least half it that gets recouped through better mpg, so at £6 extra per fill I think it's worth it for all of the benefits.
My Abarth didn't like E10 and threw an EML after 2 tanks. Stayed away from it ever since.
5 litre V8 which petrol?

This! I have no idea but also believe that the better fuel is better for the internals and injectors. I only put in 95 on rare occasions like if I'm traveling somewhere where no higher octane fuel is available.
I also believe that injector cleaners like BG44K are good stuff. A load of injector cleaner is always included in my annual service which hopefully keeps the injectors in decent nick.
The engine with its original tune should run fine on both 95 and 98 but the last AJ126 I had in my previous jag which was remapped to some 415 horses only unleashed all of them when running 98.

I'm yet to find a brand that says otherwise... With my 2L tuned TT, it needed a bottle of an injector cleaner every 3 months (2K miles) despite only ever using Vpower. Too soon to tell if the F-type will need any but most reviews I watched on on YouTube before buying it implied that it's usually done by most owners.cj10jeeper wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2024 12:34 pmJaguar specifically advise not to put any additives in the fuel

peugeot and citroën used to regularly buy additives from me when i was a wurth sales rep and also additives from tuneapp (a wurth owned company) ….
many jag specialists sell wurth additives as part of a service… eg bt atomotive jlr specialist will sell a wurth additive pack…
also a point of fact that what actually would be the difference of fuel with detergent additives or octane booster added in or adding additives yourself

Partially related question: when you add the injector cleaner do you put it in the tank before the petrol, or after you've filled the tank? To get it to mix optimally. I don't drink tea so milk in first/last is a strange concept to me.
