If that really is the case with the extractor tube then it's a very poor implementation.
(I did my own test with my Mercedes Vito by inserting a tube to the bottom of the sump down the dipstick tube, draining, and then undo the drain plug. Nothing, not even a drop.)
If I understand correctly, a tube is attached to the top of the metal pipe in the filler, rather than inserting a plastic tube down the metal pipe?
