In Control glitch ?

Had a genuine looking email from JLR at 06:20am informing me that my In Control subscription has expired. I thought this unusual being as they normally send half a dozen renewal reminders leading up to the finish date.

As it turns out, I’m paid up until the end of July, so the email is completely inaccurate. Called Jaguar CRC who confirmed all is ok with my account and apologised for the errant email. It wasn’t spam or a phishing attempt, it was genuinely from JLR, but was generated following a security system update and should not have been sent.

Posting here for info in case anyone else is concerned that they’re being phished.
