Volume control on steering wheel

Evening everyone,
Quick question, not sure if I’m being dumb but going to ask anyway
On other cars I have owned these buttons control radio volume (see picture) on my F type the volume down works instantly one press volume down by one, the volume up button seems more “intermittent ” more of a press and hold then rapid volume up single press doesn’t seem to do anything,
so to my question is this normal, or do I have trouble with the button / controller has anyone experienced same issue

Nope, that's not normal so there must be some problem with your buttons.

Yes, those buttons. Quick press up should work, like the down button does.

Exactly. They're also clearly marked as volume and down.

I think this is actually one of the few bits of the interior that feel a bit low rent. My buttons started creaking at one point but I got them quiet again with some silicone spray.
