Hello all! Been checking this forum for a few days, seems like an awesome community!

I'm looking at getting my first F type. Its a 2017 AWD R (V8) with the reg LD17WDN.

I took it for a test drive today and it was good fun. Sounded great, but no much crackling or the like which I've seen in videos of similar 2017 cars. I know there was H239 (v1, v2 and v3) which I think have all been applied to this car. Is is possible to reverse? Does it even make a big difference?

Secondly, the mileage on the car is very low, only 12000 since 2017, yet its had 3 owners in that time which seems odd to me. The car looks in great condition.

Its Phoenix Orange.. which seems very rare, can't find much info on the color.. I know Firesand Orange is a thing, but this seems to be a slightly different shade.

Any thing else to look our for when buying one of these?

When you were test driving it did you have it in dynamic mode (it won't be in this by default when you start it). It makes a lot more pops, bangs and crackles in that mode.

As far as mileage... I wouldn't worry too much. Use cases vary a lot and for a lot these aren't daily drivers. For example, I've had mine nearly a year and I've only done 1600 miles.

Nice looking car.

Currently at Marshall’s but can see it’s been offered at Cinch too at a little over 12k miles

Seems to have had a hard life to start with 4 advisories on worn tyres at 7300 miles. Aside that a clean history.
I would not worry about 3 owners in 7 years.possibly even dealer trade purchased to sell on as low mileage.
SimpleR can look at the ownership and potential uses, if you ask nicely :)
With the vin you can get the service history yourself online from Jaguar.

Software upgrades cannot be removed to my knowledge once applied.

Jaguar had different names for the same paint colours used by Land Rover to begin with. Later on they changed to using the same names.

Phoenix orange is the Land Rover name for Firesand. Another one is Firenze red which was Italian Racing Red in Jaguar speak.

Firesand is a great choice and I think was dropped when the first facelift cars came about in 2018.

Hi.
This is an MY17 spec car (number 44665) built around Q4 2016 but was held by dealer (possible showroom car, demonstrator or unsold) and registered from 31st May 2017 on a 17 plate.

As a comparison my car was registered 23rd May 2017 on a 17 plate but is an MY18 specification car. So this is an older car spec with a later reg plate.
Due a service now.
It is firesand Orange.

That's a crazy amount of servicing done to a car that has done only 12K miles... 🤯

But again it's odd that it's had 3 owners and nobody enjoyed it much either.... It deserves better.

Time based servicing is correct but add the PDI and two Prepped for Sale. All documented and within Jaguar dealerships, should be good?

You beat me to that car. I was going to look at it on Sunday but the garage told me it had gone, so I ended up in Warwick to get the 17 plate from Adrenaline. I hope I enjoy it as much as the V6 I’m exchanging it for 🤷‍♂️

I think you'll be disappointed if you only enjoy it as much as the V6 - should be more enjoyable! :)
