All the setting does is change where the sensor looks (if you have them).

The headlights have an almost flat beam pattern which is legal for touring in Europe, but not permanent registration.

The headlights are passive - i.e. they don't change pattern based on setting.

I know because my original Jaguar dealer told me mine would pass a french MOT and then it didn't - there is a subtle lift on the one side. I ended up buying new lights to pass a French MOT (my car is a UK RHD car originally). Fitted them myself as it's 3 bolts and some adjustment.

What i don't know about F-Type headlights isn't worth knowing sadly..
