I have heard back from the warren, who are bit nervous in booking for April as not fully confident about restrictions and numbers until may 17th, happy to take booking after that date.

In view of the above and the bigger than I thought interest in the trip, I am suggesting we commit to Wednesday May 19th.

Please let me know who is joining for the end of April and I will make the booking for lunch, glad to see Mrs GusA as will be some company for my better half.
May 19th looking ok for me and Mrs GusA has the day off booked! Hope the weather’s kind. :D

I’m pretty flexible so will go with the flow.

Assume we bring our better halves? 🤔

yes, I will - it is her car, though she insists I drive when we are together. For some reason she takes my careful and considered guidance to her as she drives as criticism. I don't see it myself ..

The Commodore at Instow has confirmed they will be open for coffee and we don't have to book, nice views over the estuary. The Warren is also taking bookings for the 19th, serving food until 4.00.

So far i have Mr and Mrs GusA, Mr and Mrs Gregstar, Mr and Mrs PaulWildsmith, me and the better half.

Wendy will type up directions for the trip, if you are happy private message my your phone number and I will add to the sheet, for communication on the day, just in case.

Thinking about timing and to make it an enjoyable day suggest

Junction 27 services 9.30 to 10.00, leave at 10.00
Commodore 11.30 for coffee until 12.15
Warren 2.0/2.15 for lunch until 3.15
Exeter at 4.00

About 120 miles
