Weather looking reasonable for this Saturday, so I'm thinking of either:

o A drive in the New Forest, (stop for lunch somewhere, plus maybe visit the Sammy Miller motorcycle museum)

o Visit to the Haynes Museum on the A303 near Yeovil (never been for some reason. I must have paid for this with all the Haynes manuals I had in the past).

The plan was changed a little bit, to a drive through the new forest to Exbury Gardens near Beaulieu. Very nice place, acres of woodland and gardens plus, importantly, f type suitable parking.

Also had vegan samosas for lunch in one of the cafe's there, which were delicious. Never had vegan before. They are very tasty. I hope they were humanely killed though.πŸ˜‰

Yeah, Exbury is a nice place to visit, it's been some time since I was last there. Blimey, 2008! :o

And you think that's bad. I used to live in the New Forest and have never been to Exbury until now 🀣

Was hoping to go to the motorbike museum to see if the Kawasaki KH250 in the photos was my first bike! Another day perhaps 😴

One never visits what's on one's doorstep because "I can see it any time", which turns out to be never! ;)

What was bad was how much older I've got since the visit, without realising it. :(

Lovely gardens, nice cafe areas. Had a cottage for a week last year close to Butlers Hard and took a trip there.
One of the Covid advantages is I’ve rediscover a lot of the UK, vs endless trip to a second home in Spain
