It's been a l-o-n-g road, and I've thus far been unable to purchase an ultra blue BDE at the right price with the right options.

But tomorrow I'm test driving my first (and hopefully last) 400 sport in silver.
Yep. Silver.

The pics look amazing, and before I knew it I'd exhausted all videos of 400 sports on YouTube last night!

It comes fully loaded, and above my "absolute ceiling".
But hey, if I love it, then I'll just have to go for it.

Right???

WoW, that’s been some search ... but good that you’ve found the F-type you want, even if not the one you original went looking for ...

From the photo you’ve posted it looks like the vents and surrounds now match the 400 sills/lip spoilers ... if this is the case then well done Jaguar ... and well done to you for finding your dream Coupe ...
Storm Grey V6 coupe, fun, fast, popping and crackling with smiles all the way ... missed more than I expected!

C43 AMG estate, lots of toys, like the F-Type but with 4 seats and far more stealthy but still with pops and crackles!

Thanks guys.

As soon as I saw it in the flesh I knew I was buying it. The satin black / dark grey trim parts all match the wheels, so it's a very homogenous look. Previous owner also added carbon mirrors which set the car off perfectly. Silver is pearlescent, but ultra blue is not (or not as much IMHO), so I'm chuffed to bits with my change of heart over the colour. And the yellow accents are just the right amount.

All in all I'm glad it's taken 18 months because I think I'll appreciate it so much more.

And I'm very grateful to the previous owner for taking the depreciation hit for me, and running it in for 1000 miles.

Pickup day is this Friday!!

Also had Paul from Auto Curators assess it yesterday.
I'm going for full detail + ceramic coat, and probably PPF on front bumper + lights.
