Imagine the conversation with sales when they are told they can't order the current model and then to be told they can't order the new version.
Exit to a different marque's dealership I think.
That's "cutting off your nose to spite your face" - why buy something inferior just because you have to wait a few months?
OTOH, not having a Jaguar V6 or V8 would be huge loss, IMO - if I wanted a BMW V8 turbo I think I'd kill myself!

Hi Gus,
I know. We are robbed blind to accomodate the grand sceme of the EU/UN to mix european countries with poor from
other continents to 'replenish' the workforce and the aging population.
To fund this they squeeze us dry. On of the reasons for BREXIT..
BPM = Belasting van Personenauto's en Motorrijtuigen... .. tax to be paid to register a ICE powered car or motorvehicle..
€66,000 in tax! My car is £66,000 all in!
If it was an EU rule surely we would all be paying the same so it must be a Dutch regulation - probably with the EU getting the blame for it ‘having’ to be charged. I don’t envy you though, or any other car enthusiasts in the Netherlands.
I don't see anything F-Type and mule reg plate running a 4.4. The 69 plate mule in loads of pictures at the ring and in the UK last week are all the 5.0L v8.
The above is all according to DVLA data.
400 Sport AWD - MY18 - Black, pano roof and thats about it
Hobbies of the left have to be funded : taxfree EV cars as an example..
..I try to get a petrol hybrid with < 40gr CO2 in the WLPT cycle.
But this still can have 400-500HP and "EV" can be switched off..
Beat the system..

Trouble is you don't know what you are waiting for.
Nobody has seen it.
So you decide to wait a few months and when it is released you don't like it.
What then ?

A few years ago you may remember a certain German volume car manufacturer were prosecuted for ‘cheat’ software that made their cars seem a little more frugal than they actually were - cue much outrage from the public and compensation claims!
At the same time you could (still can) buy a hybrid BMW i8 which claimed 134 mpg. In reality you get 35-40 mpg yet no one is the least bit bothered about it. The cars are more complicated and heavier and most hybrids have claimed efficiency figures that are far removed from reality yet no prosecutions. It’s just the new way manufacturers cheat the approval system as they can move faster. We pay more for the extra complexity and don’t generally benefit much from the tech.
Stand by for a government tax on recycling lithium ion batteries from EVs in the near future!
For the I8 this is well documented by the tax-system here for company cars. A big lease-fleet company publishes the achieved avarage
consumption as all drivers use a tankpas... But this is mostly due to the drivers NOT BOTHERING to charge the batteries at home at all.
This is in L/100 km...
