Anyway, here's what was our 2nd convertible (and Moonshadow not silver before you ask ..):
Here’s a picture of our second, can’t find one of our first which was a Saab 9-3 Aero with more torque steer than I’d ever encountered before or since!

You've never driven a first generation Cavalier SRi, then!

And the Saab's torque steer was worse? Must have been awful.
I used to be amused by the fact that the 1.8i engine had such a narrow power band - it didn't start to go until you got to 3,000 rpm!

Much worse, especially the Aero convertible. As the turbo came on sing it would veer massively or try to if you weren’t ready for it. One of the known issues was the steering rack breaking the bulkhead and there was a Saab kit to fix it.

Apologies for wandering off topic, I am jealous the OP is getting his MY21 before I get my MY20!

Not so sure, spoke to the dealer earlier this week and they don't have it yet!

More worry!

It should go like this.
Car built, dealer notified.
Dealer "Calls forward" the car for delivery to the dealership.
Car arrives, couple of days for PDI (or not in some cases :D )
Normally a week to 10 days for the whole process.
So you are still on schedule-ish.
Might be worth harassing your salesperson to make sure they are on top of things.

now just a week to go. Have read through most posts on this Forum, and looked at all the F Type videos on YouTube, so now at a loose end! And the dealer still hasn't got the car, thinks it will be Thursday or Friday. I'm hoping not be disappointed .,.

GusA - slightly intrigued why you haven't your car yet? The factory have only been building 2021 models from Jan.

Fairly simple, I’ve been working overseas and finish my last contract on 15th March, so have ordered the car for collection on the 17th. I had a car on order for many months, waiting to see what the facelift would be as I knew they would probably be in production by the time I got back. As I wanted a V6 I was left with no choice other than the old version. I’ve wanted one for years and very nearly bought a 400 sport in 2017 but couldn’t bring myself to have it and be unable to drive it most of the year, cars are for driving!

Almost there now though, can’t wait!
