In the Advert, in the Overview section all it says is “Electric Steering Wheel”.
Definitely something strange about it. So would be interested in hearing about what happens when you go and see it

There was a couple of SVRs that popped up in 2019, with only 500 miles on, that were registered in 2017 having been built much earlier. They were probably show/display cars that were wheeled out at events, until the facelift was imminent and would then no longer been 'current'.

Hi all, an update on this - I had an inspection done and everything came back fine except the engine serial number doesn't match up with the one on the V5C. Since then they haven't been able to explain this. The number is 14082549011 508PS.
a) If anyone has any way of checking if this is legit then please let me know. The garage (Williams Select Manchester) has sent the car to a Jaguar dealership in their group and not even they know what's going on. It could of course be a clerical DVLA error which I'm following up on.
b) Does anyone know why it says 508PS when the car is supposed to have 550hp (so ~560PS)? Is it because the engine is effectively a tuned version of the one that appeared in the V8 S?
I think that if (b) could be cleared up then I'd feel confident making a lowball offer on the car. The rest of the RAC inspection came back stellar and the car is in great condition generally. I drove it and it felt very similar to my V8 S that I had previously, and Jaguar have assured the dealer that it's a genuine Jaguar engine. If all that's wrong is a dodgy serial number then I think it's worth offering a very low price to see if it sticks...

The serial number of the engine reported on DVSA is
14090938260508PS
So it probably has had a new engine.
The 508PS at the end is not the PS power of the engine I don't think.
My engine code ends 3306PS and it has neither 3300ps nor 306ps being a V6 400 sport.

It is concerning. Jaguar themselves don't have any record of it having had an engine swap, and there's nothing in its history which suggests it has had a swap. I have no idea why someone would swap out the engine for a genuine Jaguar engine and not have any record of it though... it doesn't add up.
The two numbers are completely different. (Trying to rule out a typo on a single digit).
Anyone could of put a new engine in I guess from another savage car for example and Jaguar would not know.
I wonder if I can reverse the search on the gov data and instead of looking up reg and vin to get an engine code, lookup the engine code and get a reg...... that should indicate which car the engine came from if it wasn't supplied by Jaguar. I'll have a look.

In the UK it's advertised as 550PS, so actually only 543 bhp. The V6s are similarly 340PS and 380PS.
