as follows

1960s ford transit ( the sweeny ) bands van
ford 3.0l granada gl estate (stuck it in a ditch)
mk 3 cortina estate (chocolate brown)
escort van ( ate clutch cables)
vauxhall viva
austin 1100
austin 1300
morris marina van
triumph dolomite
austin maestro vanden pla (digital dashboard and talking computer….( in my head i was Michael knight !)
fiat 127 (god knows why)
rover 2600 sdi
saab 900 aero turbo (nice) went like shit of a shovel and drop the back seats and it was a van…..for a long time the only car i would ever buy twice.
nissan 300z twin turbo fairlady ( money pit)

couple of bikes ….

honda 600 hornet
kawasaki z100p

company cars
2006 astra
2009 astra
2012 insignia
2015 insignia
2019 skoda octavia ( bloody good car)
f type 380 s roadster
ferrari 458 spyder.

thats it i think ! theres a few old jalopies there back in the day most of them that wasn't vans or estate cars or hatch backs would regularly get 5he back seats removed to accommodate various keyboards to get to gigs in.
for those in the know a fender rhodes shoved in the back of an austin 1100 is a sight to see and no small feat to achieve.
Polaris White 380 rdstr, 2013, extnd leather, perf seats, cyclone 20”, Ferrari 458 spider 2015, Bianco avus, carbon pack, carbon seats, front lift, musician, biker,.
Money may not buy you happiness but I’d rather cry in a Jag than a bus. (or a 458)

Again I tend to have cars for quite some time (Apart from the first two).

Well here goes...

  • VW Polo 0v 1.0ltr 1985 4 gears and manual choke  Drove this on private land for years before I was old enough to pass my driving test
  • Renault Clio 8v - Bebop 1.2ltr 1992 - First car on the road. The colour was meant to be Blue but it was defiantly Purple so it got the nickname "Lavender" :|
  • Renault Clio 16v 1.4ltr 1994 - My boy racer stage. This car had allot of modifications including a bonnet scoop
  • VW Golf GTi 1.8T 1999 - Big step up from the Clio. After a remap this car was reasonably quick at the time
  • BMW 330cd 3.0ltr 2004 - This was the biggest step up in every way. Maybe the biggest in my car history.
  • BMW Monte Carlo Edition M3 4.0ltr V8 2010 - Loved this car. Very rare. It never missed a beat even though it had a hard life and had been round the world (150k on the clock) had this for 6.5 years!
  • Jaguar F-Type R AWD 5.0Ltr V8 Superdupercharged 2016 - And here we are today - Someone asked me a worrying question the other day. Where do I go from here?!

I'm tempted to get one when the Jag arrives because it's likely to be my last combustion car so it'll be nice to have a history of those.

I like this idea 8-)

Excellent thread!

I'd need to go back and dig around for some of the details, but quick sketch off the top of the old noodle:

(Actually just noticed everything is perfectly paired up. Huh.)

Nissan Sunny
Nissan Sunny 1.6 Coupé
Ford Sierra 1.6L
Ford Escort 1.6 SL
Vauxhall Vectra 1.8
Vauxhaul Vectra 2.0 DTI
Honda Accord 2.2 i-CTDi
Honda Accord 2.2 i-CTDi Sport
Jaguar XF 2.2 D R-Sport
Jaguar F-Type 3.0 V6S

(earlier pictures not my actual cars)

Hyundai i20 - 6 months (Learned to drive in that)

Mercedes CLA 220D - 9 months - Nice but not very exciting

F-Type V6 S - 1 Year - Amazing, loved every single second I drove it.
