There are so many variables with no clear answers (at least in the public domain) on what next years car will be like to drive quickly.
Some say experience and smooth style that carries momentum will be rewarded, others have said the cars will be very pointy, and in one conversation there was reference to them being more suitable for anyone progressing from the junior ranks.
So if you take these 3 comments you'd maybe pick Button for scenario 1, Alonso for 2 and Wehrlein for 3.
Money is not a limiting factor for Mercedes if they choose to spend to get another World Champion into the second car. And if trying to retain the constructors in an uncertain new year, maybe they will. Personally, I think they will do fine with Lewis and a young charger.
Whichever way they go I'm looking forward to an exciting new season.
